Barcelona-based designer Elisabet Vallecillo began her label El Colmillo de Morsa in 2009 with a premise that “beautiful things have infinite forms.” For spring, her Pangea collection took inspiration from animal eclecticism and references to ancient civilization. Polished and focused, this season is about classic silhouettes given a burst of vibrancy through a range of treatments such aquatic prints, splatter paint-like motifs, along with small and large polka dots that yield polished looks. You’ll see them on free flowing pants, feminine cut dresses and tops in lightweight fabrics such as crepe, cotton and linen. It’s also refreshing to see that a collection with so much personality via a colorful attitude, also has a wearability factor that is spot on.
