A Central St. Martins graduate with experience at Alexander McQueen and Christopher Kane, Jamie is quickly establishing her footing. She describes her aesthetic as tailored futurism with a simplistic point-of-view while still provocative enough to land her pieces on Lady Gaga more than just once.
Her spring 14 collection tells a visual tale and is based off of op-art, an optical approach to design that plays with illusions. Focusing on geometric silhouettes with sharp lines and cut-out details, she’s created wide leg pants, short dresses in soft shades of blue and white showing her mark of craftsmanship. The line also includes ornate details like the circles and square she’s meticulously placed on tops, dresses and accessories to create mosaics and showing the translation from art to fashion. The cylindrical head pieces are hers too and tops off this rich collection.
