Emerging Designer Spotlight: Beth Pilger

Beth Pilger is putting Charlotte on the map. For Fall, her capsule of chunky knits is what the season needs for a smooth transition. Inspired by Georgia O’Keefe’s charcoal abstractions, she mixes fantasy and art into her homegrown, yet daringly wondrous collection. Enveloping wool and mohair sweaters, oversized vests and mufflers in a spectrum of blacks, reds and creams are perfect for anyone looking for pieces with body this Autumn.

The line, which began in 2009 is produced locally with a focus on raw, untreated fibers, vintage fabrics and graffiti treatments which are used to cast her handknit and felted collection. Producing these looks herself, this talented Parsons graduate and former costume designer now focuses solely on the label and her journey of sourcing local, sustainable materials.
