CFDA and eBay Partner Again with You Can’t Fake Fashion Totes

Taking a stance against counterfeit merchandise in fashion is pulling the industry together all in the name of design integrity. Just yesterday, well known blogger Susie Bubble asked Topshop to remove a dress that looked awfully similar to a design by Yasmin Kianfar, an emerging UK designer. Today, The Budget Fashionista, Kathryn Finney wrote a story about alternate ways to secure a designer handbag versus buying a fake.

Organizations and companies are coming together too. The CFDA and eBay have partnered again to raise awareness on counterfeit merchandise with the “You Can’t Fake Fashion” campaign. Over 75 designers designers created original, limited edition totes that are certainly signature to them. Betsey Johnson’s pink floral burst is simply Betsey, while Rag & Bone’s denim tote is something you can wear everyday, and of course,  Tommy Hilfiger couldn’t give us anything but an All-American design.

During New York Fashion Week, the bags were on display at Lincoln Center and we were able to get a peak of the totes. Today they went on sale to the public on eBay Fashion. Custom bags are $200 and basic totes are $45. To shop the line and learn more about what eBay and the CFDA are doing to stop counterfeit merchandise, check out eBay’s You Can’t Fake Fashion Vault.
