DRAFTspace COMPLETE PARTS is back with another installation that highlights various perspectives in fine jewelry featuring designers and artists from around the world in New York this June.
Founders Jun H. Lee and Miyonne Lee combined their diverse experiences and interests to form DRAFTspace as a platform that allows outstanding artists and emerging designers to be discovered by influential industry tastemakers.
Participating designers were selected for their vision and ability to create wearable art. The show explores the relationship between artisanal contemporary jewelry with new forms and materials along with fine jewelry made of classic gemstones. Each piece will be complimented by photographs by Natalie Conn to offer a storytelling element.
A selection of the exhibition will be dedicated to the 2015 graduating class of The Fashion Institute of Technology’s Jewelry Design department as well as the Art Start Portrait Project, the non-profit program providing disadvantaged kids with creative opportunities. A portion of sales generated during the event run will be donated to the Art Start program.
