Kai D. Fan started his namesake made in New York label with a simple notion: to create handsome and functional lasting goods that are meant for a lifetime of experiences. He told us, “I believe in conscious consuming, buying quality products that can last longer…”
With an assortment of utilitarian pieces, his looks combine a rugged aesthetic with traditional silhouettes enhanced by his own signatures to make his man look effortlessly polished. Think chambray shirts in a gradation of colors with vintage inspired construction elements like pockets that can fit everything from tools to accessories. His coated pants are meant to be lived in and age over time while his vests pull everything together.
For Fall, his collection was inspired by the courage of great arctic explores: Captain Robert Scott and Ernest Shackleton. And, that’s why he’s introducing a wide variety of outerwear styles that are sure to be staples. The Explorer’s Park and Terrain jackets are design with touches of balance and are both lined with wool felt for cold weather months. For everyday wear, there’s the Metropolis that looks good with layers and the Porter, a soft blazer that has a crisp and tailored fit.
