Meet Chloe. She’s the brand’s signature. A chic, sleeping beauty with eye lash detail and a heart shaped-toe that comes in leather or suede. This is just one of many clever styles in Eva Lai’s San Francisco-based shoe label I’alave.
A London College of Fashion graduate, she started the brand out of desire to find shoes that would compliment her outfit, and in a fast-paced, high energy world, she also wanted to remind women that they should take the time to enjoy the finer things in life.
She told us that the styles in her collection are named after muses – the women that want to feel special and beautiful in their own way.
I believe shoes are an important part of any ensemble. Like many others, I was always looking for a special pair of shoes which would complete my outfit. I found that it was increasingly difficult for me to find styles so I decided to start my own collection.
A relative to Chloe is Bella, also packed with personality, she’s a flat with the same face detailing in metallic gold or silver with tassels. Now, for a different type of impact, there’s Elita, another flat this is a play on lines and architecturally driven while simple coloring blocking on a feminine silhouette is the makeup of Lily, a gorgeous pump that could be your next key piece.
The collection is handmade in a small town in northern Italy by shoe masters using techniques passed down from generations using Italian leathers. With these craftsman, she’s also focusing on the comfort equation to give you shoes with personality, artfully inspired and that are easy on the feet.
