New York-based handbag designer Jess Rizzuti gives us a peak into her world for our summer Fridays feature. Read about what she likes, where she travels and see how her bags are worn.
Where are your products made? Proud to have the collection made in USA (locally in NYC and neighboring NJ). A lot of the materials are also American made.
What are three words to describe your brand? Luxe, timeless and artfully inspired.
Favorite summer piece or color and why and how do you wear it?
I love wearing the Harper Mini Baguette. All of the colors are versatile. I just wore the new Leopard Cork version to a wedding. And then there are fans of my line like expert blogger Amy from Viviere Bella and Camille from Its Camille Co, who wear the bag with a blouse, pants, and heels for a daytime look or dressed up for fashion week.
What’s your favorite summer food? I like to spend time outside and barbecue with my friends.
What’s your favorite summer drink? Iced coffee, but then again I drink that all year round.
Tell us about your favorite local spot? I love going to the Metropolitan museum and just recently became a member at MoMa. It’s amazing that these museums are so close to home.
Where do you go to relax? I travel to Anguilla whenever I get the chance. It’s heaven on earth.
What’s your summer inspiration? Flowers are currently my inspiration and obsession.
What’s your favorite summer song? “Cups” by Anna Kendrick.
Production of my fall/winter 2013 collection is underway and I’m also photographing my future SS 14 collection. Exciting things to come.
