Open Call: Fashion Campus NYC Seeks College Interns Ready to Build Their Career this Summer

If you’re a college student in New York this summer interning in fashion or a business related field, then here’s your chance to maximize your experience by learning about how the industry works at Fashion Campus NYC. Parsons the New School for Design and the New York City Economic Development Corporation is bringing back the program to provide future fashion leaders with knowledge and insight into the fashion business.

This weekend intensive will be held on June 15 and 16 and will shed light on various positions including: marketing, merchandising, buying, sales, finance and production. Rachel Roy will be delivering the keynote and will share how she built her fashion brand. The curriculum also includes a panel discussion with industry professionals, networking events, a meet and greet with human resource managers and a career services session.

Think you have what it takes? Check out these qualifications:

  • Students must be interning in the fashion or business related fields this summer in New York City
  • Have a 3.0 GPA or above
  • Show interest in the business side of the fashion industry
  • Must have a paid or for credit internship (please note that preference is given to students with fashion or business internships)
  • Able to attend all events

Students will have to submit a resume, transcript and a statement that describes which discipline they are most interested and their current career goals.  Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received. And, since this is a very unique, highly coveted program, be sure to apply to Fashion Campus NYC quickly as spaces are limited.
