FIT Announces Fashion Business Essentials Grant Program for Emerging Designers

FIT - Fashion Business Essentials

Looking to grow your fashion business and learn from industry professionals? FIT’s new program, Fashion Business Essentials may just be the answer.

A series of classes was created specifically for emerging designers that have been in business 1-3 years, but need formal training in key areas. Subsidized by a generous SUNY grant, 9 courses are $199 and begins April 25th, 2017. 

Topics include: 

  • Crafting your business and marketing plan
  • Assessing your market and branding
  • PR and digital marketing 
  • Sales and merchandising/support
  • Legal considerations
  • Production and sourcing
  •  Retail math
  • Operations
  • Panel discussion and networking

If you aren’t able to make the series, there’s a panel discussion and networking event you can attend to connect with others.
