Need a crash course in fashion law?
The Fashion Law Institute, the first center dedicated to law and fashion business at Fordham Law School has announced their summer 2017 bootcamp. The evening intensive program is for design professionals, students and attorneys from all over the world and if you’re a designer or non-lawyer member of a designer’s permanent staff, you are eligible for a scholarship that covers the full $3,900.00 fee.
The center, created with support from the Council of Fashion Designers of America and its president, Diane von Furstenberg, has inspired and educated design professionals for years. Last summer, handbag designer Lorna Nixon attended the bootcamp and told us that the information was not only invaluable, but applicable to her business.
The bootcamp opened my eyes to the ever evolving world of fashion law. I found myself passing on useful tips to fellow designers curious about their design rights.
