Product testimonials aren’t just for fashion brands to feel good anymore. Reviews that live on a product page add texture to a description and can also answer a customer’s question that may ultimately sway their purchase decision. It’s also a way for companies to market their goods on other platforms.
In a recent newsletter, Saks Fifth Avenue featured four out of their 120 top rated items with a customer review. A silk jersey DVF dress, a Reed Krakoff Boxer Tote, wedding white Manolo Blahnik’s and Bobbi Brown’s navy nail polish rose to the top. The email also featured people from all over the country which shows that the appeal comes from a broad audience.
Concise in content, clear visuals and an alternative to the basic trend-focused newsletter shows a different type of selling tactic that is informative and authentic.
