For Resort 17, London-based label Jamie Wei Huang chose to evolve in so many ways. The Sequel, the name of her collection continues to challenge masculine and feminine stereotypes. And, this time around her garments have become sharply refined and even more wearable while staying true to her voice. This, combined with elongated silhouettes and continued use of red, black and white, the collection strikes a balance between contemporary and directional.
Jamie gives an ode to 70’s glamour with flares, wide leg trousers and bell shaped tops that are romanced with leather details, buttons and stripes. A leather cami provides a base for layering and is also strong on its own. Denim also plays a major role on dresses and bottoms to nail the nostalgia of the era while also giving a reason to embrace a new style.
In addition to apparel, the label also touts a complete assortment of accessories. Shoes ranging from creepers to sandals along with bags and accessories seamlessly fit into the lineup.
