For years, WWDMAGIC has been on the forefront of fashion by shaping trade show dynamics. With its vast amount of seminars, blogger connections, strategic partnerships and new resources and technologies introduced each season, the show offers a unique buying and learning experience.
In August, droves of designers will head to Las Vegas to sell their lines and gain exposure with retailers and press. For an emerging designer, getting there is the first part. Investing in the cost of a booth, getting samples completed and creating sales materials can be challenging. The next question is how to break through on the sales floor with little traction in the market.
For the second time this year, with the support of Fashion Business Incorporated and Global Purchasing Companies, WWDMAGIC is giving emerging designers specializing in women’s apparel and handbags the opportunity to participate in Launch Pad. The initiative was designed to help new talent gain exposure and also helps alleviate some of the trade show costs. Designers selected into the program will be housed in a dedicated section and receive shared table space, two chairs, a rolling rack and a dress form.
To be considered, designers should send a look book, lines sheet, link to website, marketing materials and financial business plan to email@example.com by Friday, June 15, 2012.
