New York Fashion Week Spring 2013: Amber Patton

For spring 2013, Amber Patton took us to her garden. Figuratively that is. A beautiful garden filled with vibrant floral pieces in an array of luscious silks: charmeuse, chiffon and jacquard. Designed for the woman that balances her city endevours with personal responsibilities and needs to be sharp for a variety of occasions, Amber Patton delivers. A relaxed ivory blazer with a cropped trouser, polished dresses and even beachwear like the long sheer beaded kaftan were all part of the wave. The rich mustard top affixed with rich ruby gems along the neckline paired with silk lambskin shorts was a standout. And, she wasn’t afraid to offer a petite slice of sex appeal either. An empire waist baby-doll with a plunging neckline to enhance the bust and fall loosely on the hips is one example of her well-thought-out cuts. All around, spring is soft, romantic and full of life.
