Replete with looks that brought to life the modern urban nomad, Ann Yee’s fall 2014 collection was downtown comfort at its finest. With an array of textures, it was undeniably cozy and gave off a cool disposition. Relaxed bottoms that draped with ease came cropped, rolled up and laid effortlessly in silk and tweed options. Oversized and easy-to-sink in tops focused on a black, ivory and variations of grey story while she peppered in touches of color that made sense for this city dweller.
Continuing to elevate her signature knitwear style, she presented an open knit crochet sweater, bubble vest, bomber and jacket that were sharp, standouts. The cable zipped skirt paired with a hounds tooth cardigan was one instance of how knits can be the season’s livelihood. And, her faux fur and vegan leather accessories not only spoke to her modern day, conscientious muse, but were spot on in pulling together the season.
