UncommonGoods has announced their third annual jewelry design challenge for emerging designers and independent labels that want to share their work for a chance to win a vendor contract with the Brooklyn-based online retailer and $500.

For this opportunity, they’re looking for accessories that show your creative talent and individual story while also fitting in with their brand promise of unique gifts and creative design. Products must be safe and animal friendly too (no lead, leather, feathers or pearls).

Here’s how it works

Designers can submit the following types of jewelry:

  • Necklaces
  • Bracelets
  • Earrings
  • Rings

The top five voted designs will be judged by UncommonGoods Assistant Jewelry & Accessories Buyer Sharon Hitchcock, Senior Manager of Etsy Wholesale VanessaBertozzi and Jewelry Maker Etta Kostick.

Prizes

Grand Prize: $500 + an UncommonGoods vendor contract

Runners-Up: Will receive a critique of their work from the guest judges, and UncommonGoods’ marketing team will provide tips for marketing and growing their businesses. Additionally, UncommonGoods’ buyers will review each entrant’s full portfolio and may consider adding the work submitted to the UncommonGoods website in the future.

All entries must be received by June 30, 2013 at 11:59 PM ET
