Finding the right sales channels for emerging designers is a constant challenge. Whether it’s working with a showroom, going direct-to-customer or contemplating consignment, there’s no one right answer because each business is different and today’s every changing marketing place doesn’t make your sales strategy formulaic.
To shed some light on this topic, FIT has put together a panel on Thursday, May 25 with four NYC fashion brands to share their experience, lessons learned and watch outs.
Moderated by Melissa Hall, founder of The Emerging Designer, the conversation will touch on keeping up with the fashion calendar, working with major retailers, boutiques and non-traditional sales outlets. Designers will share how to be economical with a small budget and tips on working with service providers such as showrooms and sales reps.
