London-based designer Kelly Love is a bit of a foodie, digs a good folk band and was inspired by flowers for her fresh, contemporary collection this season. We got to learn more about her for our Summer Fridays feature:
Name: Kelly Love
Brand: Kelly Love
Can you give us three words to describe your brand? Feminine, contemporary, luxury
What’s your favorite summer piece? I love the Blossoms that Dance skirt. It’s the perfect piece to dress up with heels and a silk cami or down with boots and an oversized tee!
Favorite summer food? Chocolate and mangos
What’s your favorite drink? Amaretto sour
What’s your favorite local spot? The Riding House Cafe in central London, ECC in Chinatown for cocktails & The Union Chapel (a church that becomes the best place for gigs in the evenings) and Columbia Road Flower Markets.
Where do you go to relax? Most of my friends love food so we always try new restaurants & bars! London is amazing for this and there are always new places popping up! I also love the Royal Academy of Arts and picnics when it’s warm as we have such beautiful parks here.
What’s your summer inspiration? Folk bands, flowers and vintage shops.
What’s your favorite summer song? Mumford & Sons, “Little Lion Man”, Bon Iver, “The Wolves,” Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, “Home.”
What’s next? We’ve reached a really exciting time for our label where I feel like people are really starting to take notice. We have an ongoing collaboration with Aussie Haircare, another collab in the works, will be showing at Capsule in NY in September and will continue working with our amazing press agency Kitch & Honey!
