As your business grows, there will be a lot of people that touch your company. This may include employees and interns, a one-time service provider or long-term vendors that you want to build relationships with like a factory, showroom or pr agency. These relationships and the time and dollars spent for their services are just a few reasons why it’s important to establish a solid foundation from the start.
Entering a new relationship is exciting and often times moves quickly. However, it’s important to take a step back and define the role of the business agreement and clearly communicate expectations. In the end, it’s better to be proactive about a situation rather than to think about something in hindsight. Plus, you’ll be working with people that are aligned with your goals which is one step towards maintaining a healthy business.
