Planning to source fabrics and look for suppliers this month? Perhaps there’s a new factory or leather resource you want to to scout? Or, maybe a desire to learn more about sustainability to help impact your supply chain. This month, be sure to take advantage of the sourcing shows and talks in New York City. To help you navigate, here’s our roundup:

  1. Stop by CitySource Tradeshow at FIT on January 11th and meet over 60 local vendors including 10 new ones such as Fabscrap, Stitch Luxe and Atelier Ameilia. There’s also demos on the show floor.

  2. Visit DG Expo at the Metropolitan Pavilion from January 15-16th to meet a wide variety of fabric and trim suppliers.

  3. Attend Première Vision to discover a variety of textiles, leathers, fabrics and manufacturing resources. The show takes place at Pier 94 from January 15-16th and their seminars look pretty interesting too.

  4. Head to Texworld at the Javits Center January 21 - 23rd and stop by the Swatch On booth ( H01) to see their offerings, take home fabric samples and get a special gift. There’s also a sustainability conversation with Carrie Freiman, Director of Sustainability and Kathleen Talbot,  Vice President of Operations & Sustainability of Reformation on Tuesday, January 22nd.

  5. Meet up in Brooklyn for Textile Tuesday featuring Huston Textile Co. at the Brooklyn Fashion and Design Accelerator on Tuesday, January 22nd.
