Digifair Online Global Platform: Source and Make Textile Requests
Looking for a special fabric or searching for better pricing for your next collection? Maybe you weren’t able to make it to the latest tradeshow. Whatever your sourcing needs may be, Digifair, is one resource you should use. The new online platform allows designers to submit a fabric or material request to their database of suppliers which includes 4,000 vendors worldwide. Best of all, it’s free to use and there’s no minimum order requirement.
What’s in Stock
Their suppliers have access to hundred of fabrics. Medium weight linen, leather, cashmere, denim, neoprene, alpaca or bamboo knit are just some of the textiles that you can request. If you don’t see what you need, they have a concierge service that will help you find what you are looking for.
How Digifair Works
The platform is easy to use and requires you to fill out a form in order to request fabrics or materials. Here’s what goes into your submission form:
Headline (e.g. I am looking for organic cotton)
Type of fabric(s) needed
Specific details like color, width, weight, sustainable certifications and more
Amount of material and price range
Up to 5 reference photos
Once you’ve filled out their form, suppliers can respond to you within the platform’s private chat section where you can discuss your needs, learn about pricing, their offerings and more. You’ll be able to negotiate in a safe environment, but transactions don’t happen on the platform. Requests last 90 days to ensure you get the best options.
Designers also have access to a tradeshow sourcing calendar to see if there’s an opportunity to meet a vendor in person.
