Emerging Designer Spotlight: Hannah Goff

Hannah Goff
Emerging designer Hannah Goff takes a print-centric approach to her namesake label. This SCAD graduate uses her textile background to make her own geometric-inspired custom fabrics. Combined with a mashup up of polka dots, stripes, florals and patchwork combinations, the line has its own visual harmony.

For fall, her collection is for the woman that is confident in wearing a colorful yin and yang. With collared shirts, spandex shorts, leggings and dresses that go from boyish cool to more feminine cuts like her open back pieces and sheer overlays revealing bralets, it's playful, young and has a kaleidoscope of richness.

For Hannah, the journey to New York started when she won the Emerging Designer Competition at Charleston Fashion Week. Now, producing and building her brand is what's she's proud to do locally. "I want to make garments to benefit the economy and bring more jobs to the New York fashion industry. New York is a mecca of fashion resources and being able to meet directly with suppliers and producers is much more effective when you are just starting out in the fashion world. I also find the quality of work in New York to go beyond my expectations."
