Emerging Designer Spotlight: MaryLai Handbags

After designing handbags for 10 years, Mary Lai decided that now was the time to start her own line. Born under her name, her first collection has taken into account what savvy, stylish ladies want in investment accessories. This spring, she's launched with three strong silhouettes in a variety of colors that fit into various parts of her women's life.
She tells us, the Mason tote was "designed for the working woman." Light, roomy and available in brick, black and taupe color ways, it serves as an everyday bag or weekender. Constructed with goat leather, a durable skin made to withstand daily wear, it will age nicely with time and still look good as a mainstay piece.
Her Jeri works as a crossbody or a shoulder bag and is just the right size for running around the city, evening adventures and weekend excursions. And, for times when she needs more personality, the Essex clutch which she's noting as her signature takes the form of a geometric heart is that statement piece. Available in a rich red, a black and white color combo and embellished styles, it rounds out the collection nicely.
