Emerging Designer Spotlight: Tosia
If 1990s New York club culture is your inspiration, then there's no doubt that rich velvets, shimmer and cut-out details will be in full swing. Add in influences from the sixties dark glamour of California and you'll get Tosia's story for fall 15. Now in her third season, Sara Hankin began her New York-based label in 2014 and has already shown consistent footing by focusing on outerwear and luxe textured fabrics. Her robe coat is not only effortless, but brings a refreshing note to fall in a dreamy dusk color. Other pieces include a convertible wool coat that can be worn three ways and a refined blanket wool cape with a matching overlay.
A commitment to workmanship balanced with a sense of refined ease. Tosia stands for sophisticated modern clothing that is progressive, yet timeless.
Tosia caters to the woman that's creative and takes a pass on the trend game, but knows that details count. Her high waist Helene skirt and range of pants prove this. Classic staples like the cut-out shirt dress and the printed velvet slip dress are sharp, unexpected twists. When describing the brand, she told us, it's "a commitment to workmanship balanced with a sense of refined ease. Tosia stands for sophisticated modern clothing that is progressive, yet timeless."
