Slideshow: Fifth Avenue Easter Parade in New York
Once a year, some of the most clever hat creations traipse down the streets at the annual Fifth Avenue Easter Parade in New York. Men, women, children, couples and even pets too brought out their Sunday best. The vibrant Idiosyncratic Fashionistas once again proved that women of a certain age can dress with unabashed style and creativity. Designer and stylist Rosemary Ponzo always in pursuit of something theatrical came in an oversized heart-shaped creation.
Many showed their New York pride by crafting structures out of MTA cards. There was even a orange Staten Island Ferry hat. Cute and clever came from a young woman dressed as Sunday brunch which included a Bloody Mary on top of her head complete with celery and other garnish. Others got intricate with nests, beehives, and even a farm to help confirm why there's no other city in the world quite like New York.
