Emerging Designer of the Week: Design On Shell

Emerging-Designer-Design-on-a-Shell

Emerging-Designer-USA-Flag2Product designer Yuree Hwang of Design on Shell set out to solve the grocery bag conundrum. She often wondered why people carried it as their second bag, when one would suffice. Her solution was Shirrley, a beautiful bag that could work for both. With a shirring effect, it works as a purse and when stretched to its full length, serves as grocery bag that can fit up to about 20 pounds. Available in a red mesh for those that don’t mind a peek-a-boo reveal or sturdy cotton, the concept has come to life with a simple, yet fresh design merged with functionality.
