Fashion designer – a profession that will always “feed you”! This is a profession in the fashion industry, which is now considered very prestigious, in-demand and highly paid. This specialist deals, more often than not, with a ready-made sketch of a suit or dress, which is created by the designer. The designer determines what fabric is best, works out the necessary templates and patterns, suggests options on how best to stitch, process seams and fabric edges, to create the necessary volume, etc. This is mostly technical work with a touch of creativity, requiring special education and certain skills. Fashion designer can work: in ateliers or salons, textile factories, fashion houses and workshops, at sewing factories or freelance “on your own”.
